Hello, I'm Zoltán. I'm a full-stack developer with over 25 years of experience. My focus is React (JS/TS) on the Frontend and NodeJS/Python/Java on the Backend.
About me
I graduated as a programming mathematician in 1997, but my passion for the profession began long before that. Over the years, I have worked as a developer, lead developer, team lead, system analyst, project manager and solution/system architect. I worked alone, in a small team and in an enterprise, I worked as an employee, entrepreneur and freelancer.
Over the years, I have learned and applied a lot of technology in my work, and although many things change, fortunately the most exciting and challenging part remains - problem solving. I love the feeling when I find an effective solution to a problem and then the solution is realized.
Over the years, I mostly dealt with backend development and used Java and Python. I like the Cloud, primarily AWS, but I also tried Azure and GCP. I am currently learning NodeJS, Javascript/TypeScript, I deal more with frontend development (Angular, React, Svelte) and Terraform. I am currently looking for work as a freelancer or employee, either part-time or full-time.
When I'm not coding, I spend time with my daughter and playing squash. I like hiking, logic and board games.
My projects
Emma Recognition
The goal of this private project is to provide (some sort of) a tech.demo and also help our everyday life. This application downloads pictures from our phones, recognises if Emma (our daughter) is present on the picture and shares the same with the friends and family.

My experience
Senior Dev. Engineer

This project sounded so interesting, that i'm sacrificed my free-time and helped out the team. I was glad that besides well-known things, i could learn some new as well. My tech. stack was: Azure, Kubernetes, Python, FastAPI, Java, Maven, Spring Boot, Couchbase, PostgreSQL, Jenkins.
2022 - 2023Freelancer
This great experience -which changed my life- started as a challange. I was able to participate in several projects, learned new things. I used various tech.stacks, including: AWS, Serverless (Lambda, step function, SQS, DynamoDB, etc.), Python, GraphQL, NodeJS (JavaScript/TypeScript).
2019 - 2023Team lead

My friend asked me to help out his team in a Java project. It was a really great challenge, as i built up the dev.team from scratch including the interviewing process, bilding up the development environemnt with complete CI/CD, etc. I was really happy that we was able to finish the project on time, on quality and on budget. Kubernetes, Docker, JHipster, Java, JEE, Spring, Spring Boot, Jenkins, DB2, Maven.
